Verstappen to run in practice for Toro Rosso ahead of 2015 debut
Max Verstappen will make his F1 bow with three practice outings with Toro Rosso at the end of the 2014 season.
The Dutchman, who will replace Jean-Eric Vergne at the Red Bull junior outfit next season, becoming the youngest driver to ever race in Formula 1, will run for the team during practice in Austin, Interlagos and Abu Dhabi.
“In a few weeks we want to do a test with him – just to give him a feeling – with a three-year-old car,” Toro Rosso team boss Franz Tost told reporters at Spa on Thursday.
“We want to give him as much time and mileage as possible in a Formula 1 car,” he added. “We expect a Friday session at least from Austin onwards. So Austin, Sao Paulo and Abu Dhabi. Then he will do one test day after Abu Dhabi.”
