New head of aero at Red Bull Racing

Red Bull Racing has appointed a new head of aerodynamics, as Peter Prodromou steps down from active duties in preparation for his move to McLaren.0888CB1D1245

McLaren confirmed last October that it had recruited Prodromou from the four-time constructors’ champions.

He previously worked for the Woking-based outfit between 1991 and 2005, before following Adrian Newey to Red Bull in 2006.

In a statement, Red Bull said Prodromou has “commenced a period of gardening leave” and the team “would like to thank him for his valuable contribution during his time with the team.”

Dan Fallows, who was previously aerodynamics team leader, will replace Prodromou with immediate effect. He briefly left Red Bull in 2013, with McLaren claiming to have signed him in January, but he has now returned.
