The team opted to skip the opening four-day test in Jerez in order to complete more development work back at its Enstone factory. However, the car did complete a recent shakedown run at the Spanish track as part of a filming day.
New recruit Pastor Maldonado was at the wheel and despite a slow start on Friday, the car managed to complete the 100 kilometre filming day limit on Saturday. His team-mate Romain Grosjean will give the E22 its public debut at the Bahrain International Circuit on Wednesday.
The Frenchman will remain in the car on Thursday, before Maldonado takes over driving duties for Friday and Saturday.
There will then be a four-day break before the eleven teams return to the track for the third and final test, ahead of the first round of the season in Australia on March 16th.
