Red Bull has confirmed that Sebastian Vettel will take the wheel of the RB10 on the opening two days of this weeks test in Bahrain, before handing over to Daniel Ricciardo for Friday and Saturday.
The Milton Keynes-based outfit had a difficult start to pre-season testing, completing just 21 laps over the course of four days in Jerez – the lowest of any team – with the all-new RB10 suffering from cooling issues, coupled to the problems faced by engine supplier Renault.
Vettel, who similarly opened proceedings for the defending champions at the Spanish circuit, completing just 11 laps before he headed home, will again drive on the two openings days of the second test, which gets underway in Bahrain on Wednesday.
Daniel Ricciardo, who managed to complete just 10 laps himself in Jerez, will get the not for the final two days of the Bahrain test, as he prepares himself for his first season with the team.
