Ferrari confirms launch date and possible car names
The Italian team is looking bounce back in 2014 following a disappointing year that saw Fernando Alonso win just twice and the team finish third in the constructors’ championship behind Mercedes. With the arrival of Kimi Raikkonen and the raft of new regulations though, the team will be keen on trying to win its first drivers’ championship in seven years and toppling the all-conquering Red Bull team.
In a statement on its official website, Ferrari confirmed that fans can vote for the name of the 2014 car online until 11:30 GMT on January 24th. The shortlist is:
- F14 T
- F14 Maranello
- F14 Scuderia
- F166 Turbo
The car will then be unveiled on January 25th, the day after McLaren’s online-only launch.
