Mercedes to unveil 2014 challenger at Jerez
The Brackley-based team confirmed on social networking site Twitter that they will take the covers off their new car on the 28th January, ahead of four days of testing at the Spanish circuit.
A spokesperson for the team clarified to RichlandF1 that there would not be a launch before that date, with drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg revealing the team’s challenger in the Jerez pit lane.
It confirms that the team will attend the test, unlike rivals Lotus who yesterday confirmed that they will not take part in the first test of the 2014 season.
Instead, they have chosen to complete more research and development work on the E22 before its debut at the second test in Bahrain.
