Rosberg reprimanded after trip to stewards
The British Grand Prix race winner was deemed to have sped during a yellow flag at turns four to five, a steward’s statement saying he was asked to visit them along with Mercedes representatives as he appeared “to not to slow for the yellow flags in turns 3 to 5 at 14:06.”
The German drove to victory at this afternoons race and won by just over seven tenths of a second from Mark Webber after a close battle towards the end of the race. Fernando Alonso finished third with team-mate Hamilton in fourth.
The announcement of the reprimand means that the race result still stands. Drivers are meant to slow under yellow flags as it means that debris or track marshals are on track.
