Valtteri Bottas was found to have sped in the pit lane after he passed through 9.8km/h over the speed limit and the Williams team – who under an agreement between the FIA and GPDA – were fined €1000.

Lewis Hamilton was also called to the stewards for not keeping to the right of the bollard at the pit lane entry – the drivers had been instructed to do this and Hamilton failed to do this during FP2.

He was given a reprimand as the stewards said: “As no other cars were in the vicinity, the offence is not regarded as too dangerous and it did not impede another competitor,”

Kimi Raikkonen was also reprimanded for an unsafe release in the pit lane.
