Allan McNish to be driver steward in Budapest
Whilst speaking to Richland F1 in an Audi-organised interview, former Toyota driver Allan McNish confirmed that he is going to be the driver representative on the stewards’ panel for the Hungarian Grand Prix this year; the second time at the venue after being the driver representative in 2011 – the year he was also on the panel in Monaco.
“I’ve done it [stewarding] four or five times. I’m actually doing it in Budapest this year as I’ve cut it down to once this year for my timing,” McNish said in an interview with Richland F1.
This will be the second time an Audi Sport driver will be a driver steward in Formula One in 2013 after his team-mate, Tom Kristensen was the fourth steward in Monaco.
Look out for the exclusive interview with the BBC Five Live commentator and Audi Sport driver next week on Richland F1.
